The purpose of this course is to have a clear understanding of basic music theory.
I hope that everyone gets something out of this and helps them with their music studies.
It can also be used as a great reference sheet for further study!
My role is to help as much as I can and educate everyone in music theory. I have been teaching for over 7 years, and have a deep love for music and music theory. I have a bachelors of music in music education and plan on furthering my education asap!
There is no prerequisite or prior knowledge to take this, if there is any then it might be even easier for you! This course will start December 10th and go until the first week of January. Each class/task should take at least an hour of reading, understanding and general discussion.
If you can find some great music friends to talk with and join with you that'd be great the more the merrier. The best way to learn is to learn from different sources and teach others! I expect real dedication to work that I give and discussions.
There will be points where people can pair up to help each other, critique each others work, and have a mentor/mentee relationship.
The final exam will consist of either a 350-550 word paper summarising all that we have went over. Or a 5 minute video presentation that does the same thing.
I hope you have fun!
