Wk 3-6-Developing your materials [Aug. 18, 2011, 3:36 p.m.]
The main focus of the rest of this course is on developing the online instructional materials you have set out to create.
In the context of doing that, you might want to explore one or more of these special topics:
- Content, especially open content that you can include in your course freely and legally
- Student engagement, including the use of Web 2.0 tools
- Student-centered learning and learner independence
- Differentiation
- Assessment
-
Other topics that you might choose to explore (Message me to ask to add a task for other topics.)
As you explore these tasks, think about how you can apply them to your own online materials. Then do so and post a comment with a link showing how you did that. Online learning design is an iterative process -- you try things based on research, experience, and your best guesses; see how it works out; revise; repeat. :) We'll all learn by sharing these experiences.
During this period, we'll also have several webinars that will be open for discussing how your development is going. These will be held:

In addition those times, please feel free to set up your own webinars in the same BBB room with your collaborative groups or other folks in the course.
