In this course participants will wonder about, discuss, define, test out, and redefine student engagement.

The teaching term "student engagement" has a wide and varied usage in education.  In this course participants will share, enlarge, adapt, and redefine their ideas about engagement through watching videos, reading articles, trying out methods in their own classrooms, and by sharing and challenging each other. Together we will share the pros/cons, challenges and ease of different engagement methods to help students learn. Our focus will be on  open dialogue about all methods and the elements and nature of engagement itself. This course begins September 26 and ends November 6.

    Hi Mireille,

A wiki could work for the greater good (as in ideas about engagement to share with all the Internet).  Please do not feel it is something you must add ot your plate unless you, yourself, would want to have and use it.

We did miss your presence, and I noticed you were not the only person to lose steam about the 4th week.  I would love to get feedback from everyone to know how to improve and hold interest in a course such as this.  I was thinking as busy educators, it might be better to design courses that are in three week chunks (or less).  What do you think of that?

In any case,  Thank you for all your great participation and I will keep checking back in if you decide to continue and complete the course.

Would you mind going to week six and using the survey to give me feedback?  Also, P2PU School of Ed would like to get feedback from participants in all courses.  The link to their short survey is here.

I hope I run into you again!

    Caio!

    Bonita
