Standard Set Answer:
1. PHP is the backbone of so much of the web, I feel it is an integral language to know
2. I intend to get to a solid intermediate level of PHP understanding and skill. From there I feel that I can take it further to a more advanced level.
3. As of yet no. I am not qualified to make those types of decisions. It is not something I would rule out in the future though.
Public Set Answer:
As I said above PHP is an integral part of the web, and I don't see it going anywhere soon. Knowing PHP is another part of the puzzle of knowing the Internet, WWW and web design.
Apart from that PHP is a powerful scripting language and I intend on learning a few languages, as I see it PHP is the perfect one to start with (for me anyway).

Standard Set Answer:
What made you interested in this topic?
I am interested in this topic because after studying HTML and CSS for the past couple years, I find myself wanting to do things that can't be achieved through plain HTML and/or CSS (i.e. login / logout functionality, efficient form validation, etc.).
What do you hope to achieve by participating?
I hope to achieve at least enough understanding of PHP programming to see if it's something I can learn.
Are you interested in helping with the course organization?
As this is my first course with P2PU, I do not have any interest in helping with course organization—however, this may change in the near future.
Public Set Answer:
Why do you want to learn PHP?
I want to learn PHP so that I can make my web pages and sites a bit more dynamic, particularly in terms of login / logout functionality and form security and validation.

Eager to learn all about how web pages communicate to its visitors.
Location: San Francisco, California
Standard Set Answer:
I'd like to get a firm grasp of what PHP has to offer and be able write less code that can do so much more. Learning this backend language will help me see what I can do with front-end design concepts as well.
If I do get accepted, I will gladly help my fellow coursemates. Being a visual and hands-on person, I learn more through practice, trial and error.
Public Set Answer:
I want to be able to use PHP to develop webpages that deliver faster, more interactive content. Also, by using PHP, it doesn't waste time to call up information that wouldn't be relevant to a visitor. Instead of getting the visitors frustrated, why not just get them the information they need as quickly and smoothly as possible?
