Anyone can follow a community course on P2PU. Participating is the next level of engagement. The sign-up is a space where interested individuals can express their interest and background in the topic and commit to working with the rest of the participants. Please answer the following set(s) of questions if you want to become a participant or organizer.

Standard Set Answer:I am looking for a new job. At all my interviews, it was clear my lack of tech knowledge is a real drawback. So I want to learn as much about building web sites, writing for the web, making videos, and anything else that's new.
I thought about finding a tech savvy person with whom I could train. Then I ran into this site--it's pure genius!

Hey All, Been a small business owner nearly all my professional life - 30 years or so and politically active. Sold my businesses, went back to school for a communications degree and now am a semester away (course schedule dependent) from a degree in visual communicationa and digital arts. In any event, I still know squat, but I'm betting many of you can show me a thing or two. I'll pitch in where I can. By the way, be kind, this is my first experience with p2p!

Standard Set Answer:Communication and media especially as it relates to shaping public opinion and social policy is my main focus at this time and the Ruby/Rails combo is a rising star. Though programming is not an innate ability of mine, I want to explore the possibilities of the language and framework.
This would be the first p2p.org course for me, and I think the concept is wonderful. In addition, the community appears friendly and engaged. Beyond finding a useful learning tool, I'd like to share ideas, strategies, and techniques with the community: hopefully, my contributions can help advance others and enhance the p2p community.
I am interested in helping P2P in any way I can. Let me know what needs attention and I'm willing to help coordinate or help in any way feasible.
