In my opinion, when you talk the language of native people you can understand them and their behaviour better. May be, in the future, I get to work in Spain or Latin-South America, I think it's very nice to make yourself understandable by then.
I have already had some classes in Spanish, but that's a couple of years ago. I would like to improve my spanish, by starting again from the beginning.
Normally I would say that I am very interested to help the organisation. But this is my first course from P2PU, so I'll first try it as a participant :).
Public Set Answer:
I want to improve my Spanish, I have already had some lessons a couple of years ago. I am from Holland and I study in Belgium. With making this small step to a 'foreign country', I realise again that I love to get to know cultures and cultural similars and differences. I hope in the future I can use my Spanish to learn more about the Spanish people from locals in Spain or Latin-America.

At this time, I am not able to help with course organization.

California born and raised. Reader. Writer. I'm in love with Mr. Knightley from Jane Austen's Emma. All men should be like him. War and Peace is quite an agonizing read after all. Sean Connery is the best Scottish actor ever. My next car will be a Subaru or a Toyota. And Apple beats Microsoft. Every. Single. Time.

I've always wanted to master Spanish and never have been able to return to school. This will be a great way for me to dust off my high school Spanish and grow my vocabulary. I'd never heard of Spanish MOOC before, so I'm interested to see what it's all about.
Public Set Answer:
I'd like to learn Spanish so I can finally have mastered another language. I do have three years of high school Spanish, but that was many moons ago. I'm lucky I know how to see "my name is." I'm originally from Santa Cruz, California so Spanish was the other language.

I have never been great at learning new languages. It's hard for me to learn things quickly and I've always had to cram everything all at once, so I never understand what I've been taught. I hope to achieve a better understanding of Spanish so that I may better communicate with others who speak it. I am interested in learning but I'm not sure how much I could help with course organization.
Public Set Answer:
I went on a vacation to Puerto Vallarta, as well as Cabo San Lucas and I was not able to understand any one there. I would love to be able to learn Spanish so that I may better understand others who speak it. I hope to learn Spanish from you. I am from North Carolina and I've had a few classes in spanish but I have not been able to truly grasp the language.

I live in NYC, which is reason enough to try to learn Spanish! I am also involved in non profit work with mixed Spanish speakers and English speakers. I would love to be able to do some basic communications with my collaborators without an interpreter.
I have done a little bit of self-study, but I am hoping I will learn more better by working with others in a somewhat more structured way.
Since I am truly a beginner, I don't think I would be appropriate to help organize the course.
