This course is for K-12 teachers and administrators that wish to utilize web 2.0 and social media tools to promote student core content knowledge, critical thinking, collaboration skills, communication, self-directed learning and global outlook. Course discussions and activities will encourage participants to develop their own ideas and methodologies about how to teach and lead effectively using the web.
SCHOOL OF EDUCATION
Thanks for participating in the Week 1 activities. This week we were particularly focused on the “big picture,” as well as helping you reflect on where you are now with using web 2.0 / social media to promote deeper learning. Moving forward, the tasks are going to be more applied (trying things out, working with your colleagues via Skype/email on our group kit, etc.) with a few additional online discussions. We are looking forward to journeying forward with you.
I'm looking forward to learning from everyone in this class. I'm going to add a lot from my world as well since Web 2.0 and Social Learning is all new
