What made you interested in this topic?
I have done some video editing for personal and professional objectives. ONce I got involved with immersive environments I made the connection and am feel like machinima will provide the ability to write, tell stories, provide music, teach and learn in a different way.

What do you hope to achieve by participating?
To get better at producing machina that can tell a meaningful story, process, set of instructions.
-
Are you interested in helping with the mooc organization?
Absolutely.
Public Set Answer:
Yes - I adapted what I knew about editing video taped in the physical world to video captured in the virtual world. All the tools used were the same with the exception of screen capture software. My first machinma was a spoof on Angry Birds a la Alferd Hitchcock, with my SL Avatar being attacked by birds. It was fun playing around and I later made some music videos with friends in Second Life, some machinima of events I was asked to film and . I make little clips to add to my blog from time to time and I attend Machinima Monday most Monday nights on SL to learn from Machinma artists.
My favorite is not easy to identify as there are so many. I like the ones that depict a poem or piece of literary work. I love the ones that have great music and sound effects. I also enjoy those that make me laugh - yes you can do comedy in Machinima too. I would say some of my favorite Machinima artists are Chantal Harvey, Toxic Menges and Miles Eleventhhour.
My interest is in using machinima for teaching and learning both by teachers and by students.

I'll help out however I can. I've relatively new to the more creative side of machinima, though I've done a few tour/info type things with it. I'm basically hoping to "cut my chops" a bit more and further develop the skill set needed to make both entertaining and educational/instructional machinima.
Public Set Answer:
I've done a few things--the piece I did for the MOOC was the first really creative one I'd attempted.
As far as favorite? I'll have to get back to you on that. "Things Minecrafters Hate" was a recent one I saw that made me laugh, though. :)

I've always been interested in the use of Technology to facilitate education and assist with efficacy and effectiveness. I really like the idea of machinima as a teaching tool. I also think it will really help to level the technology playing field as my students that cannot go in world on their computers can still watch a video showing the experience. :D
Public Set Answer:
Yes, I've made several machnimas and really love Crumple's Skunk. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=llf1zfk4nmQ
