The Knight-Mozilla learning lab blends learning and training via live webinars featuring leading digital journalism thinkers and open-web innovators.

This four-week course will facilitate a fire hose of new thinking about the nexus of software, journalism and news. Over the next few weeks, you’ll be working on your own ideas to help shape the future of the news industry that we’ll invite you to pitch.

A knowledge (and love) of the open web is helpful for this course…an interest in learning more is essential.

posted message: If your are not a coder, but now think that you have to learn a little bit of Javascript, you should check : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hQVTIJBZook And then maybe the book of the same name : http://www.google.com/search?q=JavaScript%3A+The+Good+Parts (you probably need a bit of basic understanding of programming before this, but it could be a nice follow up to the basics. TryRuby.org is a good basic intro, via Ruby - not Javascript, but knowing more than one langage is good, so… My 11 years old nephew have just gone through all the tryRuby.org tutorials today, it was a good experience.)
