Organizing, annotating and networking knowledge - for professional growth and youth learning.

How do you curate the huge volume of information that comprises our daily lives, particularly as it relates to professional knowledge? And how do we help youth do the same for the purpose of personal and academic growth? Join this three-week conversation to share your experiences as we consider curation as an opportunity to gather and annotate as well as publish and share as part of a knowledge-building network.

Sorry I couldn't be there to make it, it was around 3.30am for me.

1 - I vote yes to an Autumn hangout. Perhaps not for a proposal of what I'll curate, but also to see waht the start of the school year has brought in terms of the evolution of ideas on this topic.

2 - the idea you discussed about boxing things in by defining them and the recurring theme of a spectrum really struck me - I like the fluidity and the freedom for evolution, especially in the accelerated evolution that is digital life. Like Colorado Joe, I'm comfortable with not knowing exactly.

3 - For shits and giggles.

The Wired piece is great, Shaz - and is much better than anything any of us contributed live during the hangout except, of course, for Joe's illuminating comment about bronies to being with. :)

I also like the Autumn hangout idea. Let's start to schedule that - what would work for you, for instance, as a possible day? What time zone are you in and what time of day in your time zone would generally work for you?

Hehe, I am still just fascinated by the fact they took a plastic toy, made a TV series and people are really into it.

I live in the Netherlands, so Central European Time. I'm usually 6 hours ahead of New York City, though I'm not sure if htat changes with Daylight Savings Time. Perhaps if the meeting is on a Sunday, I could be there in the evening, and y'all could be there during the day? Thanks for the thought!
