Bio:
I am interested in the interconnectedness between nature, spirit and community and how harmony and oneness with nature can liberate people from the struggles of mind and body and sicknesses of modern society. I have spent some time living in Korea, India and Nepal and have been ignited by the relationship between the land, the spirit and the community that are still a living and breathing reality. I have also spent some time in communities in Europe that are trying to reconnect these energies into meaningful ways of living by combining spiritual practice with sustainable living and intentional positive social action. I have worked in my local community in the area of youth mental health and strongly believe that the loss in connection with nature and spirit is responsible for the confusion and distress often felt by young people. The seed that we sow is the fruit that we will reap and this is true for our minds, hearts and communities aswell as our soil. So then there is a responsibilty on all of us to direct the course of our local and gloabl community rather than stand back and criticise the way we are going. I don't have much sustantial knowledge about ecology or the amazing teachniques that people such as sunseed are putting into practice. Thats why I'm looking forward so much to meeting all of you and learning from you all in any way I can .

Bio:
Interested in ways people work towards common vision, Cassandra wonders how to help groups develop commitments that maintain social integrity and work towards social and ecological sustainability. She enjoys fostering dialogue and self-reflection skills, because she understands personal development and social cohesiveness as important aspects of sustainability. She has experience with facilitative group processes including being mentored in the “Way of Council”, and co-developing an internship program on Socially Sustainable Community Building at OUR ECOVILLAGE in Canada. She believes that humanity is truly capable of acting as ecological stewards, and she is conspiring a role to help humanity wake-up to their inherent capacity to live in ways more aligned with principles of sustainability. She is collaborating with others from the emerging social-matrix of an inspired humanity to mix ecological and social sustainability with personal and spiritual development in synergistic symbiosis.
