I am interested in this topic because I have always enjoyed blogging, but quite frankly... I'm not very good at it.
-
I hope to become a better blogger. While my blog is just a fun little side hobby, I want to be better at it. Not better as in "More readers," but better for ME. It's selfish, I know, but I want to make my blogging experience better.
-
I'm not opposed to it, so long as it's productive and beneficial.

Standard Set Answer:
Writing, as I learned many years ago in school, was not only an art -- but a tool of influence. When I write, I can feel my own ideas actually start taking shape, forming, and expressing themselves. So, I have always enjoyed writing -- and respect anyone who puts their writing online or in print for others to see. But, I myself seemed to have gotten away from doing much of my own anymore -- and I would like to not only get back to being more of a working writer, I would also like to learn about what is the obviously the best way to write in today's world -- blogging. This is the way that individuals tell their story, and to me, that is interesting.

I'm fairly new to the blogging scene. My blog's web address is www.myprettypinkponies.com and this is our mission statement:
It's our mission to provide readers some insight by writing about the lessons we've learned and the lessons we continue to learn in our lives.
The content we post is for anyone who could use some food for thought
especially the young woman "standing in brand new designer shoes" weary about taking a step forward. We hope you'll find value in stories shared by others who were in similar shoes...as pretty as the pair on your very own feet
. Afterall, walking tall and pretty in high-heels after stumbling isn't easy. It helps to know others who have been there, have recovered and who are willing to share their secrets to staying "in-balance" on life's "fashion runway".
Thanks for visiting. We encourage your feedback and comments on how you manage to balance life on your trajectory to success. Take a nice deep breath. Then, put your best foot forward and make big strides!!!
Yours,
Pretty Pink Ponies ("3P")

I love writing, and have been thinking of starting a blog, but I'm completly blocked. I would love to get some tips and challenges to force me to write (lazyness is definitely a problem). Also, I'm trying to decide whether to blog in English (much broader audience, yet very saturated medium) or in my mother language, Portuguese (pretty much a desert and quite hard to gather readers). I'm not sure if I have something to teach, but I'd be glad to help out!

Bio: Jon Webster, a graduate of The University of the Cumberlands, has read the Bible cover to leatherbound cover and credits this experience with the reason for his atheism. He has seen both sides of the argument having been raised in a Christian home, gone to a Christian school, and having graduated from a Southern Baptist college. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Theatre Arts with a minor in Communication Arts. Since leaving college and reading the entire Bible he has incessantly devoured any book or article and watched any internet video relating to religion. His hobbies include debating people on religion and politics in his spare time on facebook. He has seen Barack Obama, Mitch McConnell, Joe Biden, and Al Gore speak in person. He has been fortunate enough to have asked a question of Chris Matthews in person and have it answered before a live audience about the Presidential race during the 2008 election. He is currently working on a 366 atheist quote a day calendar. Jon now lives comfortably in Johnson City and owns his own business. He hopes to someday debate Bill O'Reilly in a formal setting to explain to him how the tides work.
Location: Johnson City, TN
Standard Set Answer:
From an early age, I figured out that I was not interested in people's lives, sports, or mindless entertainment, but rather the more important things in life concerning religion, politics, and sought to understand the world around me as best as I could so that I could make the best informed decision I could on these issues.
By participating in this topic, I hope to share my knowledge concerning writing but just as important and equally, learn as much as I can from other people in terms of how to write for the internet. I have developed my style and although it is still flawed, I want to fine tune it so that my writing can be as influential such as the great journalists I look up to such as Christopher Hitchens.
I am interested in helping with the study group organization.

I'm currently in my final year of an undergraduate degree in Humanities. I'm pursuing the degree more as an exercise in determination than as an avenue for learning. I've always believed that the best and most important learning occurs outside of academia. After graduating, my husband and I will be moving to CA, where his employer is located.

Standard Set Answer:
I feel I have a lot to share through my blog but am inconsistent posting. I think it would be awesome to have a group I knew was watching my blog, giving me feedback about my topics, and encourage me to write more often. Also, I'll be plugged into a group and exposed to some unique and interesting blogs that I may never have found otherwise. I'd be happy to help the group in any way I can. Really, what I want most is to increase my Web presence and expanding my social network with people I've never met that share a common interest.
