Hello everyone,
My interest in this topic is connected to another topic I was trying to participate in: “Curating content”. I have been reading and paying attention to this trend and I’m planning to do some research on a subject relate to this theme.
By participating I intent to follow other users, learn with them and engage in the conversation.
I would be glad to help with the study group organization, but for the moment my Internet access is very limited.
Thank you. I’m looking forward to starting a new adventure.

What made you interested in this topic?
As a secondary school principal, I worked face-to-face with teachers and students. I'm about to begin a degree program focused on technology, innovation, and education. I've long recognized the potential of digital tools to extend and enhance professional conversations, but suspect I have not been exposed to the best tools available. Looking to make better use of such tools, I am aware of my need to manage my online presence and develop systems for archiving and sharing resources I develop.
-
What do you hope to achieve by participating?
I want to practice with tools that help me to store and share resources online. I am also interested in observing the patterns of interaction in the P2PU forum.
-
Are you interested in helping with the study group organization?
I would have to know more about what is involved.

I am currently trying to develop myself from an academic into an independent writer/producer/scholar and the internet is the obvious place to establish a presence. I'm pretty media saavy as far as media theory/analysis goes but this doesn't mean I have a good idea about organizing myself and my work professionally through social media tools. I'd love to help with the study group organization!

I don't know what I hope to achieve, maybe just learn something new.

Standard Set Answer:
I feel overwhelmed with information in a multitude of formats, and need to learn some effective ways to corral it. In addition, I teach information literacy at a university, and data curation is an excellent topic to include in the course...once I've worked through possible approaches myself. This is my first participation in a study group, so I think I should learn a bit more before volunteering to help with the study group orgranization.

Standard Set Answer:
In this age of abundance of information it is very easy to become overwhelmed, lost and disconnected from new ways of learning. Using the 'old' traditional sets of skills that would have made learners successful in more academic contexts and be the kiss of death in online learning, To examine and unlearn old habits/skills and to gain new digital survival skills is just so important.
I have found that learning from others about how they manage their digital worlds has given me the courage and practical strategies to engage in a more meaningful way and I feel to personally 'at ease' with how I am managing my learning.
I'm very interested in helping with this study group organisation ... so count me in please.

If curating has to do with publishing, then it is where I need to focus my attention. It is time to organize a vast amount of knowledge gained through my studies and experience. Because I have never participated in a P2PU session, I am not sure what to expect. Yes. I can help.
