Anyone can follow a study group on P2PU. Participating is the next level of engagement. The sign-up is a space where interested individuals can express their interest and background in the topic and commit to working with the rest of the participants. Please answer the following set(s) of questions if you want to become a participant or organizer.

This set of signup questions is common to all study groups, courses, ... in P2PU. The answers to these questions will be public once you get accepted.

  I am a retired middle school science teacher who also was a computer skills teacher before finishing with 10 years as a district computer coordinator.

  Now, in happy retirement, I focus on Free/Libre Open Source Software and other things open.

  1. I have completed Webmaking 101 and have a personal web site where I can explore the interactions of html, css and JavaScript. P2PU has given me the chance to work with others with similar interests. I think JavaScript is the next appropriate focus.
  2. My main goal is to understand the power of scripting web pages with the "native" language.
  3. Once I get my feet on the ground, I'll be happy to support others during their explorations.

  • I learned a little bit of html, and I can see that Javascript is a very useful and powerfull tool.

   

  • As for the html 5 course, I think that this course will allow me to understand I little more of the web-design/programming. Later I'll see how, when and where I'll apply these skills.

  I'm an aspiring front end developer. My two favorite languages are Ruby and Javascript. I have a year of experience building websites for friends and for a client but I consider myself a creative developer who just knows how to make code work, if you know what I mean. ;)

  The reason I joined P2PU is because I want to become a better developer and I think this is the best place to start.

  My name is Adam Okoye and I am an undergraduate student living in Portland, Oregon. I am studying German and technical writing at Portland State University and my primary academic and research interests are using "serious games" in language teaching and learning, technical writing (with some interest in localization), and translation journalistic translation.
