Week 1 - Overview
Welcome to Week 1. This week, we’ll be getting to know each other, develop some habits and agree to some expectations for participation and working together, and digging into the Common Core State Standards as they relate to writing.

- Don’t miss our live meeting on Tuesday, October 11th at 7:30PM Mountain time. This week, we’ll be getting to know each other and going over course expectations and the Common Core Annotation Activity. The recording of every live session is available on the course syllabus immediately following each session.
- Review the course, introduce yourself and read up on my expectations. Ask questions that you have. Commit to participating.
- Complete and be in conversation around The Common Core Annotation Activity
- Start writing somewhere online. I use a blog. If you have one, start sharing your thinking about the course there. If you don’t, you might want to start one. You can also write here in our weekly conversation space.
